Anyway my modem gateway died (the second one). So I had to plug directly into the wall. <shudder> So I'm surfer on my Cube. I dare not plug my Powerbook directly in. The modem on the Cube I can lose, but not on the Powerbook.

I'm currently looking at two overkill solutions (1, 2).

I am this close to paying 50 bucks for 144 kilobit "broadband."
